Although on Wednesday the 19th, only one candidate registered to run for State Attorney General. There are several political actors who announce that they also aspire to the position, or, at least, that they are analyzing it.
Carlos Arregui, member of the Board of Directors of the National Development Bank (BNF), told radio 1000 AM that he is preparing the documentation, specifically in relation to some legalizations of specializations that he carried out. Once he has all the documents, next week he will make his application official.
“I want to be the attorney general of the state, I know the house, I was there for almost 20 years. I think that I can contribute a lot with a work team that I have been thinking could join me. We reflected with Abdo himself and with the family who had the final word. Today we are framed in that race”, he expressed.
Cecilia Pérez, security adviser minister, told 1080 AM that she is evaluating running for the Attorney General’s Office (FGN), however, she has not yet made the decision.
“It is a historic moment, it is a very important institution and exponential growth of everything it has to face. It is an act of even patriotism to appear now. The same is a decision that must be made after a family analysis, children involved, my mother. If you ask her, he will tell you not to do it,” he commented.
Óscar Orué, Vice Minister of Taxation (SET), told 800 AM that he has not yet decided whether or not to run for the Prosecutor’s Office.
“I am analyzing whether or not to run for the Prosecutor’s Office. Many tell me that I am going to enter, that it is very difficult, very complicated. I do not consider myself a person with a political tendency, we have denounced many people regardless of the political sphere. The informal economy is an endemic problem that Paraguay has”, he expressed.
