The MOP advances maintenance of the Coastal Strip and the Amador Causeway, pending the award of contracts, says Marengo

Gilberto Marengo, director of operations of the Ministry of Public Works of Panama (MOP), referred on the morning of this Wednesday, October 19, to the maintenance of the Coastal Strip, Causeway and the Amador Causeway.

“Unfortunately, this year three contracts expired and we gave them maintenance; We have divided these two areas into three contracts, the first consisting of maintaining the green area and the road of the Coastal Belt 1 and 2, which runs from Paitilla to the Presidency sector; the second for maintenance of green areas and gray areas of the entire marine section and up to the Maracana and, finally, the third for the Amador Causeway », he explained.

He indicated that the bidding for said contracts was carried out in July, but that one of them presented observations from the Evaluation Commission, which could generate new claims in the process.

He stated that despite the lack of the award, they continue to carry out work together with other institutions through crews, in the areas of the Coastal Beltway and the Amador Causeway.
