Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was accepted this Tuesday as plaintiff in the case investigating the threats and violent messages spread on social networks by the space known as the Federal Revolution.
The decision was adopted by the federal judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi in the framework of the investigation that is under summary secrecy and delegated to the prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita, according to what judicial sources told Télam.
The lawyer José Manuel Ubeira, who represents Fernández de Kirchner, requested this Tuesday that the financing of the Federal Revolution be investigated and considered that the contributions to that entity made by the family of the former Minister of Finance of the Government of Cambiemos Luis Caputo “are not a chance”.
“You would have to have some degree of romanticism to believe that the presence of the Caputo family is a coincidence in the contributions that these people receive. They had started with a transfer of one million seven hundred thousand pesos, and then there is another of seven million pesos. Yes there is some explanation, that they give it”, said Ubeira in declarations to El Destape Radio
The presentation for the vice president to be considered as a plaintiff was made yesterday by Ubeira and Marcos Aldazabal, the same lawyers who represent the former president in the case being investigated. the attempted assassination carried out by the now arrested Fernando André Sabag Montiel on September 1 last.
The lawyers want to make contact with the file to be able to know the evidence, since they do not rule out that some type of link may arise between that case and the one in which the failed attack is being investigated, located in the court of María Eugenia Capuchetti, according to was able to rebuild this agency.
At the time, Judge Martínez de Giorgi had decided that the case filed in his court be transferred to that of his colleague Capuchetti, but the judge rejected it because he considered that, at the moment, there were no concrete elements that would allow establishing a connection between the two files.
At the time of resolving the disagreement between the two judges, the president of the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber, Mariano Llorens, agreed with Capuchetti and determined that the cases continue to be processed separately.
In the case in which the actions of the Federal Revolution are investigated is the information that the AFI provided to the federal Justice at the time and that includes audios exchanged during a live broadcast made on August 26, 2022 by the Federal Revolution group to through the Twitter Space platform that was convened under the title “Do we have to rot it?”.
The conversation provided to the file includes the participation of two members of that organization, Jonathan Ezequiel Morel, 23, and Franco Ezequiel Castelli, 26.
In one of the derecorded audios that are part of that presentation, the possibility of someone infiltrating the vice president’s supporters to make her “go down in history” is mentioned, in reference to the intention to commit an assassination, something that was effectively I would try less than a week later.
in that file a series of millionaire payments were detected to Morel, a referent of the Federal Revolution, and to two of his partners by two trusts linked to the firm “Caputo Hermanos”as it transpired last week from sources of the investigation.
The payments of the firm that would be linked to relatives of the former Minister of Finance of the Government of Together for Change, Luis Caputo, would reach 7 million pesos and would have been made to Morel and two women linked to his carpentry, the sources detailed.
Ubeira pointed out that the “objective is to go where the tests take us and we find that there are nine million pesos for that organization that are turning around and have nothing to do with it.”
“Beyond the ‘loquitos loose’ to which (Mauricio) Macri alludes, there is an organization that may have points of contact with the case in which Judge Capuchetti is investigating the attack. We believe that this carpentry, whose members learned to work the wood by YouTube, it’s new“, he pointed.
In addition, he stated that “before this carpentry in the town of Boulogne was operating, it was a retirement center attended by Macri”, for which he announced that he will request information on that “property”.
Meanwhile, the president of the block of Buenos Aires senators of the Frente de Todos (FdT), María Teresa García, pointed out that Caputo “is in a radio silence” after his family’s contributions to Federal Revolution were detected, and he maintained that “it is a great absurdity” that the former official’s companies have made contributions to a person like Jonathan Morel.
“If I were Caputo and I had nothing to do with the event, I would be on all the television channels explaining my situation,” Garcia warned.
