SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- The Bameso club obtained this Tuesday its second victory in the semifinalist round of the 46 Superior Basket Tournament of the National District by having 92-87 of Saint Lazarusin a clash held at the Palacio de los Deportes Prof. Virgilio Travieso Soto.
The native reinforcement of Santiago, Víctor Liz, for the second game in a row was once again the inspiring spark plug of the Barrio Mejoramiento Social squad by scoring 26 points and grabbing eight rebounds, and made a lethal pair with the North American reinforcement Trahson Burrel, who contributed to the winning cause 24 points, seven catches and five assists.
Liz comes from scoring 24 points in Sunday’s victory for Bameso, 91-83, over Huellas del Siglo, for which she has accumulated a total of 50 points in two semifinal games for an average of 25.0 per game.
Bameso registers a 2-0 mark in all against all, and for its part, San Lázaro walks the opposite route by registering 0-2, in the championship that is dedicated to César Cedeño and for the Cup BanReservations.
Together with Liz and Burrell, Edward Santana stood out for Bameso with 14 points and Jean Quezada achieved a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
For Jobo Bonito’s team, Adrís De León added 18 points, Alanzo Frink 16 baskets plus seven rebounds, Raimer Santana 15, Adonys Henríquez and Jerome Frink 12 each.
The Lazareños dominated the first half with 12 points, 52-40, with 15 points from Adrís De León and 10 from Alanzo Frink with four rebounds, and for the Bamesians, Trahson Burrell 12.
