The Nicaraguan government spokeswoman, Rosario Murillo, reported through her propaganda media that her regime continues to “evaluate” the damage caused by Hurricane Julia, which recently hit the Caribbean Coast.
“This afternoon the National Commission for the Evaluation of Damages due to Hurricane Julia will be meeting to present its conclusive report, to present it as soon as possible,” explained the country’s vice president.

He also announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, October 19, said commission will hold a meeting with organizations and representatives of the United Nations “to make a presentation on what we have been compiling and validating about the damage we are suffering to our infrastructure, our economy and the family life.”

The Ministry of the family, of Women, of youth, the Ministry of Inifom, the Sinapred delegation, the delegation of the Environmental Movement and the Solidarity Promoter are touring, visiting and expressing solidarity,” added the first lady.
He also pointed out that yesterday, Monday, the 17th, approximately 15,000 food packages and hygiene packages were sent to the affected areas. “This afternoon roof plans will come out for the families that lost the sheets or the roof in the different communities of the municipality of El Rama,” he stressed.
Foreign Minister meets with FAO delegates
On the other hand, he reported on the meeting held by Foreign Minister Dennis Moncada in Rome with the Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Qu Dongyu.

He remarked that the agency’s representative “recognized the good success we have had in the implementation of strategies to combat poverty and hunger.”
“Here we are working in that direction; actively fighting against poverty and hunger, which are deadly sins (…) We fight for peace”, boasted the coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council of the Ortega dictatorship.
Murillo recalled the 43rd anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior (…) the State body in charge of “annihilating” non-governmental organizations. The anniversary will be celebrated on the 20th of this month. “We are going to be in the Plaza de la Revolución commemorating that historic date,” he said.
