Future of Hope trains young people from Villas Agrícolas

The Mayor of the National Districtthe foundation Altice and the Cincinatus Institute of Craftsmanship have been developing the project for three months “Future of Hope” that trains more than 150 young people from Villas Agrícolas, in the National District, in different branches of knowledge so that they can enter the labor market.

It is a tripartite alliance in which young people receive free training to develop their technological skills, in areas such as music, academic leveling, mathematics and other aspects.

Mayor Carolina Mejía reported that the project is being developed in Villas Agrícolas, in the facilities of the solid waste transfer stationa place where there is a great social debt and with the contribution they are building to give back to that community part of the good things it deserves.

He said that it is a day of great joy for the sector in which he would like to do much more, as in others, but that he does not have a magic wand to make the projects he wants in the National District a reality.

“Let’s not wait to have the entire doll assembled, let’s start putting it together, because we have to make things happen and although I want much more for this sector, although I dream of many more things, I decided to start this process of transformation here with faith , with future of hope”, said Mejia.

On behalf of the Foundation Altice The Dominican Republic spoke with its CEO, Danilo Ginebra, who said that he shares the vision of the future and technology and maintained that the project is part of a life mission in which Altice It acts as a catalyst so that the young people of Villas Agrícolas can make their dreams come true.

“In this project in particular, more than sponsors, we see it as something beyond because everything started in such a spontaneous way and we joined this project, first because we believe in the vision and when those things happen one has to join”, held.

Cris Corcino, president of Cincinnatus Institute of Craftsmanshipexplained that, due to the high demand for training that exists in the area, they decided to expand the academic offer, adding other areas to the training offer with the aim of reaching more young people in the sector, according to their needs and interests.

The stage also served for the presentation of the “SALUS” project, a website designed by Carlos Enmanuel Sánchez Turbidez, which will allow the optimization of processes in the health service.
