This Tuesday, October 18, the director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Enrique Lau Cortés, submitted his third management report through the document “the results of teamwork.”
In the presentation, Lau Cortés recounted his management, which began on October 1, 2019, in which he assured that “an Open Data Government was established, which implies eliminating any secret and adopting total transparency, as the way to regain the confidence of citizens.
He highlighted the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, with the leadership and sponsorship of the State, through the financing of more than B/.170 million.
Likewise, he referred to the strategy developed to go from “There is no” to “Yes there is”, which seeks both the dispensing of medicines in the public sector, as well as lowering the high price of medicines in private pharmacies. The most significant achievements were those related to new projects and the rescue of unfinished infrastructure works, highlighting the resumption of the works of the City of Health, in which two of the three phases of the project have been delivered, which has a 85% complete, work that will be delivered on December 16, 2023.
Finally, the Director of Social Security reviewed the innovation and transformation projects that allow the implementation of computer systems for the automation of the institution’s processes and services; In addition, the training of medical human resources to meet the needs of specialists in the new units and areas in the interior of the country. Authorities of the National Government, public entities, patients, honorable deputies and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as participants in the Dialogue for the CSS, members of the Board of Directors and officials of the institution.
