The presidential delegate of the Biobío region, Daniela Dresdnerconfirmed that the Government will file a complaint for a series of arson attacks that occurred this Tuesday in the Los Álamos district.
Dresdner indicated that due to the attacks there were three injured and four trucks, two machines, a van and a burnt outhouse, collects Cooperative Radio. In turn, there were two trucks with bullet damage. Unknowns also stole a truck and a chainsaw.
“We completely and absolutely condemn these violent acts and we are going to do everything in our power to persecute those who are guilty. In that sense, we say that we are going to file a criminal complaint against the people who are responsible for these acts,” said the presidential delegate.
The facts
According to Third, the first event occurred at the height of Route P-508. A group of 15 armed subjects stopped a truck transporting wood. They forced the driver to get out and proceeded to burn the machine.
The unknown gunmen fired at two other trucks that were passing by. The drivers were uninjured.
Later, they intercepted a van and stole it.
Later, 15 kilometers from the place, the subjects burned a skidder, a tri-tyre and two trucks from a forestry operation, in the Pino Huacho sector, in Los Álamos.
Another attack in La Araucanía
During the day, a group of four subjects perpetrated another arson attack in the Lumaco commune, Araucanía region.
The unknown persons entered a private forest property, intimidated the driver of a truck, forced him to get out and set the machine on fire.
“The subjects later fled the place, and no banner or canvas alluding to any particular cause was found,” said the Carabineros commander. Eduardo Rosales.
