The Republican candidate for the government of the state of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, defended today (18) innovation and tax incentives so that São Paulo can attract new companies. The candidate reaffirmed that the state needs to be more competitive to drive the creation of new businesses and generate jobs and income.
“We are going to activate the tax levers that are within the reach of the state. Restoring this competitiveness is important to bring industries into this scenario. So it’s investment in innovation, on the one hand, and tax incentives on the other, so that we can bring business here”, said the candidate on a visit to São Bernardo do Campo, in the ABC Paulista region.
Tarcísio also commented on the possibility of connecting São Paulo and São Bernardo do Campo with a subway line. “The first thing is to do the project. So what is our wish? Make a Lapa line [zona oeste da capital paulista] to São Bernardo do Campo. Let’s immediately start doing the engineering design. Once the project is ready, we will see what is the best model to get the project up and running quickly, whether through a partnership with the private sector or public investment”, he said.
