AN and TSJ review agenda for law reforms of the Judiciary

AN y TSJ revisan agenda para reformas de leyes del Poder Judicial

Representatives of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and the National Assembly (AN) met this Tuesday to review the progress of the inter-institutional agenda regarding the legislative reforms to be applied in the Venezuelan Judiciary.

At the meeting, the magistrates and parliamentarians discussed the five laws that will be reformed, before the end of the second period of legislative sessions, which began on September 15 and will last until December 15.

These reforms will cover the laws of the Justice System, of the Judicial Career, the Code of Ethics of the Judge, the Law of the General Inspectorate of Courts and the Law of the School of the Magistrature, refers a press release.

In this sense, the work dynamics that will consolidate these reforms were defined, which are aimed at strengthening the national judicial system.

In addition, liaisons were coordinated between various entities of the Judicial Power and the Legislative Power to contribute to the process of transforming justice in Venezuela.

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas, was attended by the president of the Permanent Commission of Internal Policy of the AN, Pedro Carreño, and the vice president of the Electoral Chamber and coordinator of the Special Commission for Attention to the Legislative Agenda in Judicial Matters, Fanny Márquez Cordero.
