SANTO DOMINGO.- The struggle of the health sector against the social security administrators in the country will expand to the south and northeast regions of the territory.
The first is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26 at 10:00 in the morning, in San Francisco de Macorís, departing from the San Vicente de Paul Hospital.
While the second was called for November 2 at 9:00 in the morning, in Azua, starting at Plaza Enriquillo.
The Dominican Medical Association (CMD), which is leading these marches, with which they seek the elimination of Health Risk insurers and Pension Funds (ARS and AFP), will be accompanied by professional associations, federations and social organizations.
Senén Caba, president of the CMD, stated that they will continue to fight for a more genuine law that represents the will of the people.
In a press conference held at the entity’s headquarters, the representatives of the different associations raised their voices with slogans such as “we are convinced, the fight is the way” and “no more ARS, no more AFP.”
