The governor of Táchira reported during the inauguration of the 1st Táchira Coffee, Cocoa and Honey Festival 2022 that “both governments, Venezuela and Colombia, have agreed that in three months the necessary mechanisms will be adapted in the binational section of Tienditas to open formal, because that is the ideal for the export and import of products»
The governor of the Táchira state, Freddy Bernal, once again reiterated that those who wish to import or export products across the Táchira border must comply with the administrative procedures required by both countries.
“I insist again, whoever wants to import and wants to export has to do it through the respective customs office,” he stressed.
Bernal argued that the measures have caused an impact because people got used to going through irregular steps, “but now with the opening of the bridges, irregular steps are no longer necessary for products to enter or leave.”

He asserted that every merchant or entrepreneur should know that if they want to bring a product they have to pay the corresponding taxes, this does not include retail, that is, the movement of goods on a small scale.
“The merchant who wants to import or wants to export has to adjust to the national import and export parameters,” emphasized the regional president.
In relation to the implementation of a border pass for Colombian transients, he indicated that these are national policies, “we will adapt to what Saime says, that is, what both governments determine.”
The tachirense governor assured that the border “will be regularized from side to side to the extent that the national authorities of Colombia and Venezuela agree on the administrative procedures.”
