“It was reported that the participation of Sedena in the projects for the manufacture of medical equipment and a brushcutter in order to reduce the use of agrochemicals is not feasible. They are considered not very viable to participate in them, as they are not matters of National Security or of great benefit to the Armed Forces, ”is detailed in an official letter shared in the emails that were accessed after the hacking of the Guacamaya group.
Although Conacyt argued that the medical equipment was a completed development and that it was available in case Sedena wanted to acquire it for use in the institution, the agency refused and closed the matter.
The delivery of the fans that Conacyt built to deal with the covid-19 pandemic was late and incomplete, and specialists criticized its design for considering it insufficient, expensive and inefficient.

Within the framework of the collaboration agreement, the head of Conacyt, María Elena Álvarez-Buylla, sent a letter to the Sedena address, in which she requested support in the recruitment of volunteers for the phase two study of the Patria vaccine against the covid-19 virus.
“Given the difficulty of recruiting unvaccinated people, the participation of SEDENA in this phase implies the active recruitment of participants in the states of Oaxaca, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Michoacán through active recruitment campaigns in the field,” he stated in the official letter.
“Likewise, it is sought that a call be made to all SEDENA personnel who meet the criteria to participate in the study, in order to register to participate voluntarily,” he added.
