Paul Moyano, leader of the Truckers union and member of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT), made several declarations and claims to the Executive Power, confronting President Alberto Fernández and Sergio Massa, Minister of Economy. “It lacks more strength (the Government)”, and he asked for “measures to ease the pockets of the workers”.
the leader union He stated that “most employers want to carry out a labor reform to completely remove the rights of workers.” Paul Moyano He also warned that the proposals mentioned are publicly supported by “the main leaders of the opposition, from the right.”
Paul Moyano He added, “The government lacks strength. The president (Alberto Fernández) would have to sit down at a table with those four or five price generators, speculators, and tell them: ‘This is it, old man.’ The increase in food chain products cannot be sustained any longer. I don’t know what power the Executive has, whether to fine them, close them down. But the government fails there, in not sitting these guys down.”
Upon being consulted by the assumption of Raquel “Kelly” Olmos to the Ministry of Labor, the leader union pointed out that from the CGT “they are going to collaborate, but they will have to play in the next few days in different parities and hopefully they will do it in favor of the workers.”
Finally, he referred to the launch of the new book by former President Mauricio Macri called “Why” where he talks about how the next opposition to the Government should be: “I bought it for Sunday, to light the fire in a barbecue.”
Moyano’s orders
“The Government would have to respond to the request to a decree for a bonus, an urgent fixed sum for those unions that do not have very high salaries; eliminate the labor tax; make family allowances universal. These are measures to ease the workers’ pockets”, declared the trade unionist.
And he ended by giving a message to the Minister of Economy: “Everything is fine, with the soybean dollar, they raised it in a shovel in a month, but start throwing a little for the working people. Hopefully, when the United States minister returns, he can make some announcements this week.”
