Yesterday (10th), in the capital of São Paulo, the Recreio on Vacation Program was resumed. The program for the 39th edition will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm until January 21, with the participation of children and adolescents from 4 to 14 years old who are or are not enrolled in the Municipal Education Network. . Enrollments can still be made directly at the centers, with authorization signed by a person in charge, according to the availability of each unit.
During the activities, the participants will have cultural presentations, storytelling, workshops, games, games, among other actions planned by each pole, and the children will receive breakfast, lunch and snack. The program was suspended due to the covid-19 pandemic and the municipal administration considered that the vaccination carried out throughout the city of São Paulo allows the return of activities safely.
“São Paulo is the vaccine capital, so we have greater security. In addition, the Municipal Health Surveillance prepared a safe protocol to be followed by the Department of Education. The playground will have several cultural and educational activities that will make the important integration of part of the students in the 58 Ceus[Centros Educacionais Unificados] that we have in town. Our goal is to build 12 more, completing 70 Ceus in the city, because these facilities involve pedagogical issues, socialization, sports, and with an emphasis on education”, said Mayor Ricardo Nunes.
To carry out the project, several spaces of the Ceus/Polos will be used during the Sports and Cultural Block, multipurpose rooms, library and courts. For the development of activities, there will be teams from the Ceus/Polos, in addition to workshop workers, recreation agents and polo coordinators – hired especially for each edition. Kitchens and cafeterias will also be used for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The spaces will follow all the prevention protocols against covid-19, such as the use of masks and temperature measurement. In this edition, entitled “Recreio nas Férias: a new way of playing!”, still due to the pandemic, each unit will organize its routine and dynamics of activities, prioritizing those that can be carried out individually, while maintaining the playful character, social and belonging among all.
