With three rounds to go Serie B of the Brazilian Championship, Sport and Vasco make a decisive duel this Sunday (16). The Pernambuco team, with 52 points, seeks victory to equal the score of Cruzmaltino, fourth in the table, and stay alive in the dispute for access to the elite of national football next year. Cariocas, on the other hand, want to consolidate their position in the G4. The confrontation, starting at 4 pm on Ilha do Retiro, in Recife, will have a live broadcast of national radio, with narration by Rodrigo Campos, comments by Mário Silva and reporting by Maurício Costa.

If they win away from home, the team from Rio can even move up in the G4. However, if Pernambuco triumph this afternoon, they will make the final stretch of Serie B even more exciting.
In charge of Leão a Ilha, coach Claudinei Oliveira is confident of a positive result, given the attitude that the team has been adopting.
“It’s going to be a difficult game, it’s a great opponent. But with everyone’s dedication, with the support of the fans, I believe we can win a great victory”, projects the coach.
Regarding the team that starts playing, Claudinei will not be able to count on the left-back Lucas Hernández, who took the third yellow card in Sport’s 3-1 triumph against Cruzeiro, in the previous round. However, Sabino, Gustavo Coutinho and Sander are back at the coach’s disposal, after having already served suspension against the miners.

On the Cruzmaltino side, midfielder Marlon Gomes says the team is prepared to withstand the pressure on Ilha do Retiro.
“The whole team that plays at home, the crowd puts a weight, but we’re going to get the three points, and impose ourselves like Vasco to get access”, said the player.
Jorginho, coach of Gigante da Colina, will not be able to count on the right-back Léo Matos, who received his third yellow card in the last round, when Vasco won at home 3-0 against Novorizontino.
