MIAMI, United States. – The Assembly of the Cuban Resistance denounced the arrest of the national coordinator of the Christian Liberation Movement (MCL)Dr. Eduardo Cardet Concepción, who was arrested and transferred to an unknown whereabouts this Saturday.
Through a statement, the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance joined the request of the Christian Liberation Movement for the immediate release of Dr. Cardet Concepción, and asked the community and the international press to comment on this arbitrary arrest.
For its part, the Christian Liberation Movement explained that its coordinator was talking by phone with the representative of the organization in Spain, Carlos Alberto Payá Sardiñas, when two officers arrived who did not identify themselves and told him that he had to accompany them to the city of Holguín. .
The events occurred at 2:00 pm on October 15. “Until this time there has been no news from the national coordinator of the Christian Liberation Movement,” reads the complaint published by that NGO.
“The Christian Liberation Movement wants to denounce this arbitrariness and demands the immediate and unconditional release of Eduardo Cardet Concepción. We call on all people of good will, institutions and governments of the free world to condemn this arbitrariness of the regime of the Cuban Communist Party and the power group controlled by Raúl Castro”, the note ends.
