The General Directorate of Public Health (DIGESA) of the Ministry of Health began the process of updating the National Guide for the Comprehensive Approach to Cholera, in the face of the outbreak registered in Haiti.
It was reported that they are seeking to organize and plan possible actions and responses to the arrival of cases in the country and the formulation of the budgeted execution plan for the response to this contingency.
According to MINSA, this year Haiti has experienced a resurgence of cholera cases, which has left more than 10 dead, so Panama is closely following the situation in this Caribbean country.
They reiterate to the population to maintain hygiene measures such as hand washing and disinfection of objects.
