A group of Christian Democracy (DC) militants called a telematic meeting for this Saturday at 6:00 p.m., with the aim of addressing, together with parliamentarians, former presidents and vice presidents of the party, the challenges of the phalanx for the future .
The party is not going through its best moment, after after the plebiscite it suffered a fracture between those who were for Approval and for Rejection. Today the DC faces the flight of some “historical” in the midst of the debate for the new constituent process.
The call is “only to discuss and point out that we will wait for the National Board in November, which must be in person and reaffirm the proposal of former presidents so that this board elects a new unitary and integrating board with specific and priority tasks,” said the former helmsman of the DC Ricardo Hormazábal.

The meeting was called after nine former presidents of the DC, supported by about 160 delegates, had called themselves for this Saturday. However, the Supreme Court (TS) of the phalanx rejected the DC meeting last Tuesday for not meeting the deadlines.
The request was promoted, among others, by former Christian Democrat helmsmen such as Andrés Zaldívar, Ricardo Hormazábal, Juan Carlos Latorre, Fuad Chahin and vice presidents Joanna Pérez and Gianni Rivera. The same ones who will attend the meeting with the militancy this Saturday.
