Dominican Republic registers 250 active cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Public Health notified this Saturday that Dominican Republic registers 250 active cases of COVID-19 and the positivity of the last four weeks stands at 1.40%.

During yesterday’s session, 20 new cases of the disease were detected, with no deaths reported.

According to the health entity, to date they have died from COVID-19 4,384 people in the country and lethality is 0.68%.

Yesterday, 2,233 samples of coronavirusof which 1,569 were to detect the virus, while 664 were made to follow up on already infected patients.

Of the people admitted to hospitals for the disease, 15 are in stable condition, two in intensive care units and there are no patients connected to a ventilator.

To date, 4,100 health workers, 3,698 pregnant women and 82,250 under 20 years of age have been infected in the country.
