Arsenal de Sarandí defeated Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero this Friday by 2-0 in a match on date 25, ensuring permanence in the Professional Soccer League and condemning Patronato de Paraná to relegation.
Lucas Kruspzky, in the first half, and Sebastián Lomónaco, in the second, scored for the victory of the local team. The visitor played with one less player due to the expulsion of Gonzalo Ríos, from the 33rd minute of the first period.
To achieve their objective, Arsenal imposed their high pressure from the beginning, which caused several concerns for the Central Córdoba back, who could not get out easily as they could not find possession of the ball.
With the intensity that those directed by Leonardo Madelón put into their actions, by insisting so much, they obtained the opening with a free kick executed violently by Kruspzky, who, helped by a spike in the area, surpassed the effort of Chilean goalkeeper Cristopher Toselli (15 min).
The advantage did not conform to “Arse”, who continued his dominance in the game; at the same time that the “Railway” by the deployment of its flyers tried to balance the development with the intention of going for equality.
Although the purpose of the Santiago team was complicated when in an inexplicable reaction, Gonzalo Verón was expelled (33 min) for a tremendous kick applied from behind to Christian Chimino.
The sanction resulted from the intervention of the VAR, by Darío Herrera, because the referee Nicolás Lamolina did not observe the action well, so he had only admonished the visiting midfielder.
Meanwhile, the local team continued to demand Toselli’s interventions, especially with Kruspzky’s shots, the author of the first goal, who will be released next December by not agreeing to renew his link with Arsenal.
When those directed by Abel Balbo -with chances of being the next technical director of Estudiantes de La Plata-, were better planted in the field in the complement, the cast of Viaducto dealt him the second thrust.
It was when Mauro Pittón, from the edge of the area, took a violent shot that Toselli managed to deflect, with the misfortune that the ball was captured by Lomónaco to convert with an accurate header (6 min).
There, practically, Arsenal settled the lawsuit and reached its goal, because beyond the nobility of Central Córdoba for the attempt of a positive reaction, the winner was closer to extending the victory.
In the end, the joy and celebration of the partiality of the Sarandí team was unleashed, as well as that of its players after a hard season, and among them the emotion of Kruspzky stood out, who almost sobbed: “I am excited because with this triumph we covered the mouths of many who criticized us, who said barbarities”.
To make matters worse, the midfielder, who was the figure of the meeting, acknowledged being “embarrassed because with the salvation of Arsenal we condemn him to the Board of Trustees”, where his brother Lucas plays, he closed. Aldosivi from Mar del Plata will also descend with the team from Paraná.
For the 26th and penultimate date of the LPF, Arsenal will receive Barracas Central next Monday at 2:00 p.m.; while Central Córdoba will receive Tigre, the next day at 9:30 p.m.
