Prosecutors specialized in cybercrime and experts from the Public ministry At the facilities of Reniec and the Ministry of Health (Minsa), emergency acts and preliminary proceedings were initiated for the alleged crime of attacking the integrity of computer data.
The Second Office of the Corporate Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Cybercrime of Central Lima these institutions were constituted this Friday in order to gather information on the modification of the Reniec file of the Nation’s prosecutor, Patricia Benavidezand others.
As recalled, the head of the Public Ministry is listed as deceased on the Reniec portal. In addition, from the night of October 13 to the morning of October 14, he was listed as deceased to Second Sanchez Sanchezowner of the house located on Calle Sarratea in Breña where President Pedro Castillo used to meet.
After this situation became known and the doctor whose name was used to enter the death certificate of Sánchez Sánchez denied having signed the death document of the person under investigation, the information on the Reniec portal was corrected.
At noon, the owner of the registry, Carmen Velarde, blamed the doctors who access Sinadef with usernames and passwords that the Ministry of Health formally requests to issue death certificates.
He also announced that as of today, Friday, October 14, death certificates will not be automatically issued ex officio and that access to all users who were handed over to the Minsa will be blocked so that doctors can register death certificates.
It should be noted that this complaint is already being investigated by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic and the Ombudsman’s Office.
