The Circle of Sports Journalists of Santa Cruz (Cpdsc) issued a public statement in which it expresses its “I vehemently reject verbal attacks with racist undertones of maladjusted people” against, mainly, the television presenter Pablo Fernández and his colleagues Nicole Rossell and Néstor Clausen, members of Tigo Sports.

The events occurred on Wednesday, October 12. at the exit of the El Alto airport, since the journalistic team had traveled to the Government headquarters to cover The Strongest-Bolívar party.

“In time to show solidarity with our colleagues, who are registered as journalists in the Cpdsc, We condemn this unfortunate episode… clearly embarrassing and unacceptable in a society that prides itself on being civilized, ”says part of the statement

“This cowardly act is at odds with our Magna Carta that, in its article 46, which guarantees all Bolivians the right to decent work, without discrimination and with fair, equitable and satisfactory remuneration or salary, which ensures a dignified existence for themselves and their families”, adds the note.

the cpdsc also calls on the authorities of the State to curb this type of violence and, on the contrary, promote respect.

We also call for caution to leaders, coaches and other actors of our soccer that in recent times have incurred in undesirable behaviors in sports fields and in the media, fueling hatred among Bolivians with public statements that incite many to commit these deplorable actions, “says the statement.
