President Alberto Fernandez considered this Monday “very worrying“the possibility that Former Buenos Aires Governor María Eugenia Vidal has “sent” former officials “to meet with intelligence agents and businessmen to invent a way to imprison a trade unionist”, alluding to the complaint for the actions of a judicial table in the province of Buenos Aires.
“Let Vidal say that he was not aware, so I do not know. We had a governor who we did not know what she was doing. Similar things happened among her ministers and she was not aware, how remarkable,” said the President, in an interview with radio AM750 .
After considering “very worrying” that actions have been directed to harm union leaders during the Buenos Aires administration of Cambiemos, Fernández reflected: “He sent (in reference to the ex-governor) to a minister and a mayor to meet with intelligence agents and businessmen to invent a way to imprison a union member“.
“If Vidal believes that this is an institutional action, I will surrender”, affirmed the head of state.

About the explanations that Vidal gave, ten days after the complaint was known, regarding the meeting that involved former officials of his management, spies and businessmen, the President added: “Whether it is filmed or not, it is a crime. It is a crime, it is to use the entire machinery of the State to overturn it to the detriment of a person and build the reasons to be able to stop it.”
Is that the ex-president had objected to the legality of the video in which, from the broadcast of the audio, the defense of her former Minister of Labor became known, Marcelo villegas, of an eventual “Gestapo“to persecute union leaders.
“Nobody wondered what three high-ranking AFI bosses were doing. And a labor minister who wanted the most was a Gestapo to persecute trade unionists. If she believes that this is institutional, I no longer know about the law. But she is wrong. These are the basements of democracy, I did not invent things to anyone, I did not make a crazy complaint, “argued the President.
On this point, he insisted: “We do not set up cases against anyone, we do not have people lobbying the courts, no one is persecuted. I am grateful that we have put an end to that system. When you see how that worked, you can only feel indignation. Yes. one is a man of right can only be indignant “.
