More than 30 organizations join efforts for education in Latin America

According to the World Bank, in Latin America and the Caribbean, nearly 120 million school-age children have missed or are at risk of missing a full year of face-to-face schooling for him massive closure of educational institutions due to the pandemic.

For this reason, more than 30 social organizations that benefit more than a million boys and girls in vulnerable conditions through their educational programs in Latin America, will meet tomorrow at the ‘II Pan American Charity Gala’, to be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center Miami.

Of the eight foundations that organize the event, three are Colombian: Share for a life Colombia, Fundación Colombianitos and Juanfe Foundation.

Another 20 non-profit organizations from Canada, Ecuador, United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela; They also support the initiative.

“Thanks to the Colombian and Latino community who resides in Miami and carry out projects jointly with these foundations, we can generate more resources, that will be reflected in greater benefits for the education of children in vulnerable communities, reaching more beneficiaries with our training programs”, said Gladys Sanmiguel, director of the Colombianitos Foundation.

During the gala will be presented the renowned artist Paquito D’Rivera, along with 100 voices from the Miami Children’s Chorus directed by Liana Salinas, the dancers from New Land Dance Company. As masters of ceremonies, the renowned journalist Ángela Patricia Janiot (founder of the Colombianitos Foundation) and the renowned actor Miguel Varoni.
