Santo Domingo.- Public Health begins vaccination day against influenza 2022-2023, at the San Francisco de Asís Nursing Home. -The country has 475 thousand doses.
In the last months of the year, due to temperature changes, cases of influenza tend to increase, so that from today the vaccines to counteract the disease are available in the country.
In total, there are 475,000 biologics available to the Ministry of Public Health through the Directorate of Immunopreventable by Vaccines (DIV), for the prevention of seasonal influenza A (H1N1), A (H3N2) and type B.

The rest are prioritized for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, pregnant women, health workers and people with comorbidity, whom the health authorities called to go in search of their doses.
Rivera said that the drugs are already in the more than 1,421 vaccination posts, in the different primary care units and hospitals.
Likewise, he stressed that with injection they would avoid complications, medical consultations would be reduced, as well as hospitalizations and deaths from that cause.
