With the inauguration of the sports area of the Cultural and Convention Center of Oaxaca (CCO), the governor of the State, Alejandro Murat Hinojosa, fulfills his commitment to the Oaxacan population, mainly with that of this municipality, which It consists of a 7-a-side soccer field and four basketball courts, with a total investment of 12.2 million pesos in its third and fourth stages of construction, benefiting approximately 3 million people.
Before girls and boys from the Elementary Schools of Santa Lucía del Camino “Justo Sierra” and “México”, as well as children’s sports clubs of soccer, basketball and members of “Alebrijes Oaxaca”, the State President indicated that this is an area of use public, which must remain open for Oaxacan families to enjoy.
“This is a very beautiful space that we want to give to you, that we want you to protect it with the Municipal President and that you continue to make it bigger; and it becomes great when we see the girls and boys of Oaxaca being able to develop and enjoy a decent space to play sports”, the Governor emphasized while pointing out to the child population that was present and perseverance in sports can lead them to be part of a professional soccer team like the “Alebrijes”.
“Because what it is about is that they play sports, that they dream, and that they have references, that is why we invite Alebrijes, because they are part of the Oaxacan family, and that the families of Oaxaca and Santa Lucía have those desires, those hopes and those dreams, and let’s continue contracting family, because this is a space to come and enjoy”, he expressed.
Likewise, Murat Hinojosa told the municipal president of Santa Lucía del Camino, Juan Carlos García Márquez, and the head of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Oaxaca (Incude Oaxaca), Montserrat de los Ángeles Aragón Heinze, that with the creation of the CCO since In 2017, not only does it want to benefit the economic and cultural development of the state, but also the families of Santa Lucía and Oaxaca through sports spaces like the ones that are inaugurated today.
In her speech, the head of Incude Oaxaca, Montserrat de los Ángeles Aragón Heinze, pointed out that with the inauguration of the soccer field and the basketball court, dreams are coming true, because it is in that space where the Oaxacan childhood and youth.
“It will be in this place where the creation and development of sports leagues for Santa Lucía del Camino and Alebrijes Oaxaca will take place. This is a fulfilled commitment, but also a legacy that will transcend from generation to generation for the benefit of sport and a healthy community”, said Aragón Heinze.
