An official of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) was stripped of her regulation weapon, according to versions obtained from that security agency.
This event occurred last Tuesday afternoon in the West Tower of Parque Central, San Agustín parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas.
The victim is identified as Carmen Belén Guzmán Calderón, who holds the hierarchy of commissioner-chief, attached to the Public Order Directorate.
This woman was allegedly subdued by her partner Juan Miguel Marquez, who gagged her and took the regulation weapon, a Beretta pistol, PX4 serial PX5687E, according to reports.
The man fled the site taking an 11-year-old girl, who is the granddaughter of the police officer.
Upon learning of the fact, the PNB began a search to locate the subject and rescue the girl.
