According to the complaint, a 16-year-old teenager was the victim of a act of abortion in said raided clinic. “Operations were performed in that clinic despite being closed,” the investigators said.

Regarding the procedures, the prosecutor Villasboa referred: “We constituted ourselves in this house in order to be able to locate Sofía Sosa, who is being investigated in the open cause against him. In the place we could not find her, or any other person, but we did find identity documents, as well as identification of the woman. We are proceeding to individualize the documents and other evidence.”

In this regard, he said that he understands that Sofía Sosa was under house arrest for another reason and, in case of violating the precautionary measure, she is exposed to revocation of said measure.

“The information we have is that she lived here. We found the house very messy, but we saw that there were remains of recent food, there was a candle burning, an electric plate on. It is impossible that she escaped because there were police officers, “said the prosecutor.

Regarding what was seized, he specified that they had a certificate and an obstetrician card, a surgical instrument used for emptying the uterine cavity and also a notebook.

“The clinic raided this morning was already closed in 2020. This person had a precautionary measure of house arrest and according to the inquiries we made, we requested the search of this place because they told us that he was living here. The tool that we found here did not seem to be in good condition, unlike the others that we did find in the clinic,” he pointed out.

Lastly, he stated that the victim was inspected and, once they have all the medical reports, they will confirm more information.
