Rodolfo Waithe wins Bronze medal in Greco-Roman Wrestling.

Panama achieved another bronze medal at the XII South American Games Asunción 2022 with the athlete Rodolfo Waithe, in the Greco-Roman style, 130 kilogram category.

In this category 5 athletes competed, performing a round of all against all to get the winners of the medals, Waithe in his first match faced Pedro Aguiar from Paraguay whom he defeated 4-0 by superiority; then he measured forces with Marcos Barboza from Brazil whom he defeated 11-4 by superiority; in his next match he fell to Brayan Loyo from Venezuela 1-9 and in his last match he faced Chilean Yasmani Acosta where he was beaten 0-8.

“Very grateful to God, the 3-week concentration in Antón was very good to improve with the help of the coaches, it was incredible to face world-ranked athletes” he mentioned in his joy for the medal obtained for Panama.

This is the seventh medal of the Panamanian delegation and the fifth bronze in these Asunción 2022 South American Games.
