Two new bodies were located this Wednesday, October 12, in the Tuy River, Valles del Tuy subregion, Miranda state, after they were allegedly swept away by the waters, following the torrential downpours recorded in Las Tejerías, Santos Michelena municipality, Aragua state.
One of the bodies was found in the Piñango sector in the San Francisco de Yare parish in the Simón Bolívar municipality, when the multidisciplinary team of the three levels of Government carried out the tasks of saturation, cleaning of sediments and waste, as well as the dredging of the channel. The deceased, male, apparently ranges between 9 and 14 years of age.
The other body is that of a man, approximately 50 years old, located by members of the Miranda Fire Department and Civil Protection, who were carrying out monitoring and saturation actions in the Tuy River, at the height of the Arenera in the La Acequia sector of Ocumare del Tuy.
On the banks of the Tuy River, in La Acequia, the officials also found clothing, among them: a red skirt and a fuchsia t-shirt.
Officials from the Homicide Axis of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) appeared at the scene to practice lifting the bodies.
The uniformed firemen, Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and Civil Protection continue the saturation deployments in search of other possible deceased, after the downpours that occurred in Las Tejerías.
