A foreigner of Venezuelan nationality was arrested over the weekend when tried to enter marijuana to his brother imprisoned in the Pucchun prison in the Arequipa province of Camaná.
Nurkas Yepes Rodríguez, 48 years old, was arrested after prison control personnel found a greenish wrapper on her skirt, which contained marijuana. This was corroborated by the tests carried out.

The woman tried to enter to see her brother Edison Yepes Rodriguez, 18 years old, who is hospitalized in the pavilion E of the Pucchún prison, since last March as preventive detention for 9 months, for the alleged crime of aggravated robbery.
According to prosecutor Wilfredo Sánchez, Yepes Rodríguez and two other men, last March 17 they got off a mototaxi and they robbed a passer-by in the Chala district. The criminals took the backpack containing 1,468 soles, his wallet, cell phone, but they also did a cut on the face and then fled the scene.
The alien will be investigated and then prosecuted for attempting to bring prohibited products into the men’s prison.
