Presentation of the second debate of the General Budget of 2023

This Tuesday, October 11, the paper was filed for the second debate of the General Budget of the Nation (PGN) of 2023, made of 103 articles, of which, seven are new articles.

(See: Colombia would grow less than Venezuela and more than Brazil in 2023).

It is worth mentioning that the PGN will have resources for $405.6 billion, of which $74.02 billion will be for investment, $253.6 billion for operations and $77.09 billion for debt service.

From the Ministry of Finance it was highlighted that, among the novelties, an article was introduced that seeks a support for the deficit of mass transportation systems.

(See: Leaving low rates would not stop inflation, says Banrep manager).

This establishes that during the year 2023 the Nation, together with the territorial entities, will establish co-financing schemes to address the deficit of the integrated mass transportation systems and strategic transportation systems.

It was determined that, for this project, the total contribution of the Nation will be up to $300,000 million.

(See: Inflation would remain high for another two years).

The plenary sessions of the Chamber and Senate have a deadline to approve the project that defines the budget for next year until this October 20 at 11:59 p.m.
