Technical Bureau of Medicines makes recommendations to the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo on direct purchases

The Technical Board of Medicines, in its ordinary meeting this Tuesday, October 11, chaired by the Vice President of the Republic José Gabriel Carrizo, made some recommendations to the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo.

This meeting was held to follow up on the actions that the National Government is implementing, for which the following recommendations were approved to the president: subrogate Executive Decree 115, which modifies the supervision rate to destroy medicines not suitable for consumption; the network of analysis laboratories is created; the articles that improve sequence and application of the norm are reordered.
The commissioners of the Technical Table of Medicines also approved requesting President Cortizo to authorize the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, to sign the resolution that creates MedicApp and modifies resolution 774 of 2019 on the Basic Basket of Medicines.

In this meeting, in which officials from the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Social Security Fund (CSS) and representatives of the Executive participated, the need to automate the medicine distribution centers of both the Minsa and the Social Security Fund was also explained. Social Security, in an integrated manner for the supply of medicines throughout the national territory.
