Two other Argentine women (Valeria Victoria Brovelli and Valeria Paola Medina) and a Peruvian (Karla Rodríguez Dionisio) also died as a result of the overturn.

Sources from the Foreign Ministry informed Télam that this Tuesday morning they remained three Argentines hospitalized, one in a delicate state and two stablewhile another eight were discharged, the last one last night.
The accident occurred on Thursday at the Domingo Maíz-Miches intersection, on the Eastern Tourist Boulevard of the Punta Cana-Miches highway, an area widely visited by tourists, where the bus that belonged to the Suero Servi-Bus transport company overturned. .
Preliminary information indicates that the accident occurred when the bus slipped on the Coral Highway, at the Domingo Maíz intersection, in Verón, La Altagracia province, Dominican sources assured.
As it was learned, the injured bus was heading to the town of Bayahíbe, so that tourists could travel from there by ferry to Saona Island.
After the fact, the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Colladoexpressed through his Twitter account that his country feels “sad and dismayed by the unfortunate accident of the bus occupied by foreigners.”
