The Mayor’s Office of the National District (ADN) notified the entity on Monday SugarcaneCasa del Ron, to restore part of the roof that collapsed yesterday, Sunday, part of which fell on two young people whose health status is unknown.
The affected girls were Alejandra Tejada, 25 years old and Loyda Lizardo of the same age, when they were walking down Arzobispo Meriño Street, in front of the Cathedral.
The young women were helped by a 9-1-1 unit and taken to a health center, but a source reported that they were sent home because the blows they received were not serious.
This Monday the premises were closed and the front protected with a security tape and a sign from the Mayor’s Office for pedestrians to warn of the danger in the place. At the main door, a stamped certificate of the Mayor’s Office of the National District of verification of infractions was placed.
The signature is signed by a representative of the Mayor’s Office which reads: “rectify the roof (flight) complete”. The part that collapsed was a little over a meter from the flight that covers the third level of the building.
A source reported that a press conference would be called to provide details of the case.
It was not reported if the business was closed by the authorities.
