The Darién crossing is one of the most insecure and demanding migration routes in the region. Venezuelans who cross the jungle are exposed to various diseases, which vary in children, as well as psychological consequences due to traumatic situations, such as mass robberies and rapes. All this to seek a better quality of life outside the Venezuelan borders.
