Ricardo Pinza, executive director of VenAmerica, reported that the IV Assembly of the Coalition for Venezuela will be held on October 12 and until the 14 of the same month.

“The expectations are increasing because over the years there are already a hundred associations that have joined this great federation, and I say great because today it is the largest of its kind,” said Pinza.

Product of the joint effort of the Coalition – made up of more than a hundred associations – today they work to assist the compatriots scattered around the world, getting the main international cooperation agencies to turn their eyes to the tragic situation that Venezuelans are experiencing. who have forcibly left the country.

In this sense, “they help in the search for actions to lessen the pain, the vicissitudes, the tragedy that many countries are experiencing.”

tangible achievements

The statistics mark the scope of the efforts that in a short time have reached more than a million Venezuelan migrants abroad.

“This is what has allowed generating incidents and today many governments of the hemisphere generate resolutions that in some cases mitigate the situation, such as the TPS, called in different ways in the countries where they have implemented it, the acceptance of the expired Venezuelan passport, in cases like Costa Rica, which provides a travel document to give mobility to Venezuelans who must travel for humanitarian, health, work reasons, among others,” says the executive director of VenAmerica.

Although the associations have different missions and visions, some meet primary needs and provide food, shelter, medical care; others strive to train in multiple areas, work on entrepreneurship to achieve economic consolidation and that Venezuelans join in the development of the host country.

Meanwhile, others guide migration regularization, thus allowing each application to be in accordance with the applicant’s needs.

In addition, there are those who work helping Venezuelans who were left inside and cannot or have not been able to leave the territory, others who work for the restoration of democracy, peace, and freedom in Venezuela.

“In this sense, he paid special attention to the departure of more than seven million Venezuelans from the country, it is a figure of greater dimensions, more than 20% of the population, a number of people that exceeds the sum of all the Caribbean countries. or from Central America, the largest in the world, surpassing that of Syria and Ukraine”, specifies Pinza.

Delving deeper into this point, the executive director of VenAmerica denounces that they intend to violate their fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution: that of identity; and the vote for more than four million voters in exile, among others.

“It is the obligation of the State and the duty of society to facilitate the generation of the most favorable conditions for its practice.”

“Our right to participate in the public life of our country can be exercised wherever we are, regardless of the immigration status we may have. The legal disgrace of the regime, in relation to the fact that only Venezuelans who are legally in the host countries can vote or register to do so, should be denounced as such. Our human right to participate in the public life of Venezuela is not restricted to being in national territory, even less to the qualification of a foreign State that determines our migratory status as legal, ”he said.

Finally, Ricardo Pinza honored the slogan that will accompany the IV Assembly: “I AM UNITED”, “because we know that in the union is strength and integrated we contribute more; Let’s all go together with one voice to defend our sovereignty and exercise it, to promote a culture of peace and to carry out an active defense of democracy, human rights and freedoms”.
