In order to reinforce the National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19, in children between 6 months and 4 years of age, this Monday, October 10, the vaccination process began with Pfizer doses aimed at this age group.
The First Lady of the Republic, Yazmín Colón de Cortizo, participated in this act, held at the Dr. Luis Ramos Health Center on December 24, who revealed that Panama is the third country in the Region to start vaccination against Covid-19 to infants from 6 months to 4 years of age, for which 300,000 doses were acquired, of which 150,000 doses are already in the country.
For her part, the Deputy Minister of Health Ivette Berrío indicated that in Panama we continue to fight against the spread of the virus and today the National Government begins this vaccination strategy against Covid-19 aimed at infants.
I emphasize that the vaccines will be applied in all health facilities in the country, both from the Social Security Fund, the Ministry of Health and private hospitals.
Both called on parents to take their children to receive the vaccine to protect them from this disease.
