FANB supports sanitation and recovery of Las Tejerías

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) remains active with sanitation and recovery work in Las Tejerías, in the state of Aragua, after the landslide that occurred this weekend.

These actions are part of the deployment of the Bolivarian Government through the National Risk Management System to deal with the contingencies caused by the strong rains in the country.

In a message posted on his account on the social network Twitter, the head of the FANB’s Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernandez Larezshowed images of the work carried out in support of the people of Las Tejerías.

Likewise, Hernández Lárez emphasized that the FANB was activated immediately for the planning, structuring, conduction and control of the forces and means to face the contingency caused by the heavy rains in Las Tejerías that led to the overflow of five streams.

For his part, the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, indicated, through his Twitter account, that “men, forces and means of health, communications, search and removal” were deployed at the scene of the events, in coordination with citizen security bodies.

Zulia: under the waters

In Zulia state there have also been damages due to heavy rains, in this situation the FANB, following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, is deployed supporting the people, said the head of Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Lárez, on his Twitter account.

“Following instructions from our Commander in Chief @NicolasMaduro, forces and means of the @REDI_OCC are deployed in Zulia state, in support of the population affected by heavy rainfall,” says the message on the social network.

National government with maximum deployment

Given the situation experienced in Las Tejerías, in Aragua, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the Government “remains deployed 24 hours a day, in order to provide protection and care in any circumstance that arises,” as well as shelters will continue to be opened in different sectors of the affected state.

It should be remembered that this Sunday, the Head of State declared the town a natural disaster and catastrophe zone.

This Saturday at night, the heavy and persistent rains caused a great affectation in Las Tejerías, leaving 22 dead and 52 missing, after the overflow of five streams.

Faced with this situation, the national government activated a Control center and Emergency and Disaster Coordination to assist affected families.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic, Nicholas Madurodecreed three days of duel for the tragedy in Las Tejerías.
