Santo Domingo. The Superior Administrative Court sentenced the Ministry of Finance to pay 12 million pesos in favor of Tomás Eduardo Sanlley Contreras, a collaborator of the Administrative Career who was dismissed from his work duties.
José Rafael Helena, lawyer representing Sanlley Contreras, through the filed lawsuit, obtained in his favor judgment number 0030-2019 of June 13, 2022, which condemns the Treasury to pay and reinstate the public servant.
He pointed out that the administrative act of dismissal against Sanlley Contreras was revoked, which orders the Ministry of Finance to reinstate the employee and proceed with the payment of all salaries, bonuses, incentives and labor benefits since his dismissal to date. And condemning the Ministry of Finance to pay in favor of Tomas Eduardo Sanlley Contreras, the sum of (Two million) more as compensation and reparation for the damages caused by the institution, taking into account the type and characteristics of the public servant.
The plaintiff called on Finance Minister Jochy Vicente to abide by the sentence, since for more than ten years he has been an administrative career server who entered the government train through competition given his professional level.
