NATIONAL DISTRICT.- Francisco Domínguez Brito, presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), held a forceful and impressive campaign closing event at the National House of the PLD where he showed the country the faces that will make his project the great winner next Sunday, October 16 in the citizen consultation and they will make him the party’s candidate for the 2024 presidential elections.
“With the greatest respect for the other candidates, we allow ourselves to affirm that we are the most consolidated project, with the greatest maturity and strength at this juncture to face the attacks of the government and the PRM, with the aim of perpetuating ourselves in power. Listen carefully to what I am telling you, we are the ones who represent the best trump card in the May 2024 elections and bring the PLD back to power”, he affirmed.
Francisco Domiguez Brito He emphatically expressed that: “The time has come for the people. The time has come to change the government that put the change in reverse, an insensitive government, an inefficient government, without plans, vision, or future. A government that does not care about the people and that privileges the most privileged, forgetting the men and women who need it most. This is the reality, but this has to change and we are going to change it”.
In his words, Domínguez Brito reviewed the achievements of the PLD governments, indicating that the PLD, the party of Juan Bosch, the most progressive party in the country’s political history, eradicated illiteracy, the PLD is a party of 4% to education and the extended batch, the solidarity card, the electricity voucher, the gas voucher, the Health Insurance (SENASA): “We are the party of food self-sufficiency, of surprise visits, of support to the countryside and national production . We are the party of the large specialized hospitals. We are the party of the program to mitigate catastrophic diseases such as cancer, which lacerate our homes. We are the party for child care, early childhood care and CAIDs. We are the party of inclusion and attention to disability. We are the Party of 911, the Metro, the cable car, the OMSA and the modernization of transport. We are the Party for the elimination of blackouts and 24-hour electrical circuits. We are the Party of the highways, of the tunnels and the elevated ones, of the interurban highways and the asphalting of the streets throughout the national territory”.

“We will win because we have achieved today, spread throughout the country the values that gave rise to the mystique of the party, the mystique created by Juan Bosch, who, with a clear vision of political ethics, created our sacred oath, ” Serve the Party to serve the People. We will win because from the beginning of this great experience, we managed to restore hope to so many people who had lost it, to so many people who work day by day today to UNIFY the party, strengthening its bases and the thought of Juan Bosch. We will win, because we have been able to be critical of ourselves, in the search to uphold the principles that gave us origin, to strengthen the party that we are, the party that has been able to vindicate its successes and reflect on its mistakes.
Domínguez Brito also indicated that: “We will win, because in our tour of the entire national territory, wherever we have gone, the enthusiasm of the people has been ignited by hearing our proposal. A coherent proposal, with a vision of development, of a true and real change. A proposal that will allow us to achieve the desired desire to live in a country of opportunities, without exclusion, a country of prosperity and well-being for all, based on 5 axes, such as the five points of the yellow star, symbol of our party, symbol of light and hope.
The former Minister of Labor and Environment stated that his government will resume the now interrupted path, to fulfill the unfulfilled promises.
“It is that it is not only winning, it is knowing how to govern well and we are here to win and govern well, in the Dominican Republic,” said Domínguez Brito.
“Governing to reduce the cost of living for the Dominican family, and so that our children can live with dignity. Govern so that the Dominican family can travel safely, reducing crime and delinquency, creating a new police force, and promoting effective, fast and cheap justice. Govern so that young people and adults have a job and a decent salary. Govern to implement development policies that effectively unite the national territory and the country can converge on the development indicators of the countries with the best global performance”.
“The country demands credibility, trust and honesty and that is what characterizes this project. Yes, we will win, because we have successfully spread our ideas and our vision for the country. Placing ourselves in the preference of the people and the PLD members in the citizen consultation process,” said Domínguez Brito.
The members of the Political Committee, Margarita Pimentel, campaign manager, Víctor Suárez, political cabinet director, Iván Lorenzo, Alejandro Montás and Julio César Valentin, participated in the closing of the campaign. Delegations of the main coordinators of the Francisco Domínguez Brito project participated from all over the country.
The activity included the musical participation of the Dominican singer-songwriter and former Minister of Culture José Antonio Rodríguez, the singer-songwriter Badir and the exponent of urban music Aldo F.
