Independiente lost this Sunday against Tigre by 2 to 1, as a visitor, in the first game since the assumption as president of Fabián Doman, who was present at the José Dellagiovanna stadium.

Julio César Falcioni’s team suffered its second loss in a row due to the brace of Paraguayan Blas Armoa, at 16 and 19 minutes of the first half. Alan Soñora, also 30 minutes into the first stage, discounted for Independiente.

Tigre returned to victory after the draw against Sarmiento (2-2) in Junín and entered the qualifying zone for the Copa Sudamericana.

The team led by Diego Martínez, finalist in the last League Cup, has now gone nine dates without losing and is excited about finishing the year qualified for an international cup.

The “Rojo” could not recover after the surprise defeat in Avellaneda against Central Córdoba (2-1) and practically said goodbye to the fight for entry to the cups.

Tigre was effective and before the first hour he was already winning 2-0 due to the brace of Paraguayan Blas Armoa, one of the revelations of the tournament.

The striker started for the first time in the tournament against Godoy Cruz in Mendoza on date 19 and since then he has scored seven consecutive goals for the “Matador”.

Independiente reacted and was able to discount with Alan Soñora’s goal but that momentum was not enough to win anything from Victoria.

At the start of the game, the “Matador” was superior to his rival and at 16 minutes he opened the scoring after a good play from the left by Sebastián Prieto, who then shot a precise cross for Armoa’s arrival.

Three minutes later, at 19′, the local team put together a lethal counterattack after a corner kick by “Rojo” that was led by Facundo Colidio and ended with an excellent definition by Armoa.

Falcioni’s team discounted after 30 minutes after a beautiful goal by Soñora, who defined near the penalty spot after a pass from the right by Leandro Benegas.

In the second half, Tigre dangerously gave the ball to Independiente but the plan worked out for him because the visit could never create any danger.

Falcioni’s team once again showed a version similar to what it was before with five wins in a row in the tournament and with three games to close the year they no longer have goals ahead of them.

The new president Doman will have to decide what will finally happen to Falcioni, who has a contract until June 2023.

Tigre, on the other hand, no longer depends exclusively on scorer Mateo Retegui, author of 15 goals, and with the appearance of Armoa he is excited about qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana and fighting for a place in the Libertadores.
