President Gustavo Petro arrived this Sunday on the island of San Andrés to assess the situation after the passage of Hurricane Julia this Saturday night. The panorama on the streets shows abundant rubble, roofless houses, trees and fallen electrical service poles, as a result of the Hurricane. The authorities do not report victims or injured persons.

In the midst of this situation, which had the authorities on alert, the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedettiignited controversy for calling “hp” those he believes want Petro to do poorly amid the attention to this natural disaster.
The always controversial Benedetti assured that “In this country there are so many hp that they are more aware of how bad Petro is doing with the hurricane than really what happens to our compatriots in San Andrés and Catalina. They are sons of bitches…”
