Secretaries and delegates of various political organizations will exhibit this Monday, October 10 at the Constitution Commission the main inconveniences that arose last Sunday, October 2, in the regional and municipal elections.
The committee chaired by Congressman Hernando Guerra Garcia (Popular Force) established that an extraordinary session be held at 9:00 am In addition, it established that it will be held in a blended manner in room 1 of the Víctor Haya de la Torre building and through the Microsoft Teams platform.
The specific topic that will be seen in this parliamentary working group will be “What have been the main drawbacks that you have had as a political party throughout the various electoral processes in the various matters in which your party has been a participant?”.
Participating in this meeting will be Luis Fernando Galarreta Velarde (Popular Force), Luis Alberto Valdez Farías (Alliance for Progress), Raúl del Castillo Alatrista (Together for Peru), Alexandro Mario Fernández Garibay (Somos Perú), Fabiola María Morales Castillo (Popular Renovation ), Ana María Córdova Capucho (Free Peru) and Vlado Erik Castañeda Gonzales (Purple Party).
Also present will be Aldo Fabrizio Borrero Rojas (Avanza Pais), Julio Abraham Chávez Chiong (Popular Action), José Luis Luna Morales (Podemos Peru), Carlos Ricardo Cuaresma Sánchez (Front of Hope 2021) and Julio Alberto Lingan Padilla (Patriotic Party of the Peru).
Elections 2022
On October 2, the 2022 regional and municipal elections were held with which the new authorities will be decided for the period 2023 to 2026.
In total, at the national level, 25 regional governors, 196 provincial mayors and 1,694 district mayors were elected. In addition to their respective councilors from regional governments and aldermen, the elections on October 2 will serve to elect some 13,032 officials throughout the country.
