They ask Amaszonas to pay debt of more than Bs 80 MM

The Minister of Public Works, Services and Housing, Édgar Montaño, ordered the airline Amaszonas to cancel a debt that exceeds 80 million Bolivians with different entities and the Transportation and Telecommunications Supervision Authority (ATT) announces actions.

The authority explained that the airline has pending payment obligations with the ATT for more than 11 million Bolivians, another with Sabsa of more than four million Bolivians, with Naabol (ex-Aasana) of more than two million Bolivians.

It also has debts with the National Tax Service (SIN) of more than 64 million bolivianos, with the AFP Previsión of 413 thousand bolivianos, with Futuro AFP of more than 313 thousand bolivianos, with Customs of more than 14,000 bolivianos and with the Ministry of more than 45,000 Bolivians.

The executive director of the ATT, Néstor Ríos, explained that Amaszonas’ debt with the entity dates back more than ten years. “We have assumed various collection actions, four summons, two on-site inspections to achieve conciliations, a final and definitive payment order; As of today, the ATT is not being contacted to cancel debts. These debts go to the Treasury for the benefit of the Bolivian population, “he said.

Amaszonas said it must compensate approximately 500 passengers affected by the delay of five domestic flights and sanctions will be applied.

“On Thursday, five flights were delayed due to the failure to pay debts by Amaszonas to Sabsa: two at Viru Viru International Airport, two at El Alto International Airport (La Paz) and one at Jorge Wilstermann International Airport (Cochabamba) ”, he specified.
