After 17 years of the crime, Henry Chauca Conde was sentenced to 16 years in prison as the co-author of the crime of homicide for the death of the student of the Language Center of the National University of San Agustin.
According to the support of the First Superior Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Arequipa, on April 22, 2005, the young woman went to the Jakaranda store together with her friends, but Dalger Ramos, who was already sentenced for the murder to 25 years in prison, moved the student and a friend to a store on Av. Dolores. Henry Chauca was also in the vehicle.

After several hours, her friend and other young people left the premises in the van, but they got out of the unit at the Alas Peruanas University and only the young student, Dalger Ramos and Henry Chauca remained in the car, supposedly with the intention to take her home.
However, they moved her to a dark and distant place in the sector of Black Well in the Pueblo Joven Campo Marte. According to the investigation, one of them sexually abused the young woman and to hide the crime from her, they beat her on the head and then suffocated in the irrigation canal.
While Dalger Ramos was sentenced and is serving a sentence. Henry Chauca was not there and the judicial process took a long time, but the capture order, in addition to the payment of 20 thousand soles for civil reparation.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the sentence was issued by the Superior Chamber for Forfeiture of Assets and Liquidation cases of the old code of criminal procedures, by magistrates Nicolás Izcarra Pongo, Abril Paredes, and Medina Tejada.
