The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported this Friday that the Dominican Government maintains the extraordinary subsidy for more than 300 million pesos, for the week of October 8 to 14, with which “they seek to contain inflation and consolidate the competitiveness of the economy.
He explained that Texas intermediate oil (WTI) averaged 83.73 dollars a barrel, 4.8% higher, with an accumulated increase of 16.1% so far in 2022.
“The war unleashed in Ukraine has broken the harmony between the index of the Gulf Coast and finished products, with gasoline and diesel prices reaching values never seen before, and higher than during the 2008 financial crisis,” he said.
He said that in view of the increases, the Dominican Government assumes this week 306 million pesos with importers, avoiding increases that range from 19 pesos in the case of premium gasoline, to 62 pesos per gallon when it comes to regular and optimal diesel. .
“This effort continues to have an effect to contain inflation and to consolidate the competitiveness of our economy,” Pérez Fermín pointed out.
For the week of October 8 to 14, 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MiPymes provides that fuels are sold at the following prices:
- Premium gasoline: 293.60 pesos per gallon
- Regular gasoline: 274.50 pesos per gallon
- Regular diesel: 221.60 per gallon
- Optimum diesel: 241.10 pesos per gallon
- Avtur: 273.91 pesos per gallon
- Kerosene: 338.10 pesos per gallon
- Fuel oil #6: 192.11 pesos per gallon
- Fuel oil 1%: 211.77 pesos per gallon
- LPG: 147.60 pesos per gallon
- Natural gas: 28.97 pesos per m3
