In the early hours of this Saturday a man killed his seven-year-old daughter and then committed suicide, reported Universal 970.
As confirmed with sources from the Salto Police Headquarters The Observer, the man (43 years old) had an argument with his ex-partner —the girl’s mother— and when she left the house the event happened. Near one in the morning, the girl suffocated to death. The father then took his own life by hanging himself.
The Police were alerted that the man was locked up with the girl in the house and did not respond to the call of relatives, so they went to the place and broke a window to gain access. There they found the two lifeless bodies.
It happened in the Albisu neighborhood —a rural area located ten kilometers from the city—, within the San Antonio de Salto Municipality.
The Police is investigating the case.
