You do not need to be fasting and if you have been a donor before, at least 60 days must have passed since the last time. Other requirements are:
– Present identity card
– Not have had hepatitis after 10 years of age.
– Be between 18 and 65 years of age.
– Weigh at least 50 Kg
– Do not have the flu, cold, fever or diarrhea.
– Do not use drugs.
-In case of tattoo or piercing, one year must have elapsed for either.
– Do not present unhealed wounds.
The Ministry of Health reminds that each donor saves three or four people in danger. Unfortunately, every yeare collect only about 45,000 liters of blood, when the demand is 60,000.
